Horizon Leisure Centres have enrolled their 1000^th new gym member after a successful winter promotion

This is a great result for the leisure centre operator, surpassing the total of 897 memberships for the same period last year.

Will Jones, Sales and Marketing Manager for Horizon commented "This is a fantastic achievement for us during some tough trading times where luxury items such as gym memberships are under close scrutiny for their value for money".

Looking at the results of Horizon it would appear that there are still many people keen to get in shape when a good opportunity presents itself.

Will explained; "We introduced a new lower price level of £26.00 for our full membership as long as the customer committed to being a member for a minimum of two years. Over 35% of members chose this option showing that people are willing to make longer commitments in exchange for a good deal on price"

"Our success is also due to the great team of gym instructors who work for us. They have been rushed off their feet with all the new members to look after, but they have still found time to make sure the gyms are clean, friendly and fun!"
