Happy 10th Anniversary Horizone

Impact Report shows 1.2m visits to Horizon

The 2014 Impact Report has shown that Horizon LC are still attracting huge volumes of customers to its Havant and Waterlooville Leisure Centres. Although overall swims fell by 2% due to a hot Summer, the leisure centres have seen an overall increase in usage in areas such as swimming lessons, gym and group exercise, children's exercise, 50+ activities and additional needs exercise. Horizon Swim Gala Triumph

Horizon Leisure Centres held its second annual swimming gala at Waterlooville Leisure Centre on Saturday 19 July. The gala, which is for Horizon Swim School participants, saw over 80 swimmers from level 4 and above show the progression they have made from attending their lessons at both Havant and Waterlooville Leisure Centres in a variety of front crawl and back-stroke races. New Gym Information for Members

The long wait of anticipation has finally ended. The new gym will open on Tuesday 1st July at 6.30am. The new equipment is provided by current suppliers Life Ffitness and so as current members you will be able to use the facility immediately. Horizon part of Drowning Prevention Week

Next week there will be a departure from the usual syllabus for Swim School lessons as Horizon takes part in Drowning Prevention Week. According to The Royal Life Saving Society UK, accidental drowning causes more than 400 UK deaths every year, is the third highest cause of death in children and claims the lives of at least 360,000 people worldwide each year. New Swim and Dance Activities for Additional Needs Customers

Horizon LC will be introducing some new activities in June and July for customers with disabilities and additional needs. Horizon Leisure Centres and Havant Borough Council have extended their working partnership after new leases for both Havant and Waterlooville Leisure Centres were signed last month. Eggcellent Easter for Naomi House

Horizon's latest membership promotion has generated over 150 Easter Eggs for local charity Naomi House. The promotion which allowed new members to exchange an Easter Egg instead of paying a joining fee was a huge success and the eggs were donated to the charity on Thursday by the Sales Team, Lorraine Baker and Becky Tuck. Fun at the Easter Disco

The Easter Bunny visited the Play Centre at Havant Leisure Centre this week. This was Horizone's first Easter Disco and followed the success of the Halloween Disco last October. Increased Spaces for Creche

As of Monday 14th April, there will be an increase in the number of Creche spaces available in the morning. The increase is due to the overwhelming success and demand of the service and will be a trial for three months.The Creche is available free to members for children aged up to 6 years and is Ofsted registered. Horizone Play Centre will be holding its Easter Party on 16th April for children aged 12 years and under. The party will be from 4.00pm - 6.00pm and cost £7.00 per child. New Body Pump Class

Starting Saturday 22nd February, Waterlooville Leisure Centre will be adding a new Body Pump Class to its exercise programme. The class which starts at 10am is £6 per class or free to Platinum members, £5.50 for Leisure Card holders. Adventure Eat & Play
