Work is progressing nicely with the changing room refurbishment at Havant Leisure Centre. The female changing rooms and some of the lockers are now complete with work about to begin on the male changing rooms. We apologise for the inconvenience to customers but we are sure it will be well worth it as the changing rooms will be brought up to modern day standards.

The Friday Night Badminton Club at Havant Leisure Centre is seeking new members. Players should be of an intermediate standard looking to play Badminton in a friendly social environment (no pressure of league or competitions). Work is progressing well on the refurbished swimming pool changing rooms at Havant Leisure Centre. The photo below shows the removal of the old surfaces of the female changing rooms, ready for the new walls, floors and changing cubicles. Work has started on the refurbishment of the swimming pool changing rooms at Havant Leisure Centre. Already some of the old lockers have been removed and the female changing rooms are now closed off to allow the building works to progress. While this happened, the male changing rooms are to be used by female swimmers and the family changing rooms are to be used by male swimmers. Horizon Leisure Centres is proud to announce a great new exercise facility will soon be open at Waterlooville Leisure Centre. The new exercise studio will add a whole programme of fitness classes to the activities available at the centre and compliment the existing gym and swimming pool. After the success of the inflatable fun sessions during the summer holidays, Havant Leisure Centre have introduced a weekly session every Saturday 4.00pm to 5.00pm. Using the new 'Twin Track' inflatable where you can race a friend down opposite sides of an assault course swimmers will be guaranteed an hours fun and excitement. This session will run throughout the school term until further notice. Admission prices are the same as a standard swim session (see download box to the left)....

Havant Leisure Centre was proud to provide the venue for the South's largest Koi Carp meet over the May bank holiday. The sports hall was packed with pools containing various varieties of the fish and many different stalls promoting the hobby of Koi keeping. This is the first time this annual event has been held at Havant leisure Centre and we were happy to see a good attendance of Carp enthusiasts.

Horizon Leisure Centres and Havant Borough Council support the Government initiative to provide free swimming to the Under 16's and Over 60's for a 2-year period from 1 April 2009. However, the funding made available by the Government to support free swimming at Havant and Waterlooville Leisure Centres for these 2 age groups is significantly less than the income currently received. Horizon Leisure Centres works in partnership with Havant Borough Council. A good example of how this partnership works can be seen in the replacement of the lighting system in the small sports hall at Havant Leisure Centre.
